NORTH GREENBUSH — The University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering helped bring a national nanotechnology exhibit to the Children's Museum of Science and Technology in North Greenbush.
The exhibit, called Nano, will open Saturday at the museum as part of its grand re-opening.
Nanotechnology is materials and devices created at the molecular level used in a range of products from medicine to computer chips.
The Nano exhibit includes hands-on stations and activities. Participants can try building a carbon nanotube, a normally invisible cylinder made of carbon molecules that has unusual strength, making it ideal for things like golf clubs and car parts.
