Tech Valley New York State capital region's "Tech Valley" was established to attract and promote high technology businesses into the region. Tech Valley is a 17-county region of upstate New York centered in Albany, the state capital; spreading north to the Canadian border, west to the Mohawk Valley, south to Dutchess County and east to the Massachusetts state line. The Energy and Environmental Technology Application Center at Albany NanoTech is a proud member of more than 1,000 high-tech companies that boost New York's economy by employing over 50,000 people and pumping $5 billion into the region.
Background on TVEF The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering's Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center (E2TAC) schedules regular energy forums to introduce Tech Valley organizations to opportunities, issues and challenges in the energy industry. A select group of executives are invited to these meetings, allowing an opportunity to network with peers.
Purpose To increase networking and collaboration within the energy sector and to provide solutions to common problems of suppliers, both manufacturers and service providers. TVEF strives to better the power generation, transmission and distribution within the technology industry. We would like this to accomplish this in two ways: first by leveraging the collective knowledge of the participants based on their industry experience, and secondly by inviting experts to speak on relevant topics of interest.
