Overview The 2010 New Energy Symposium featured the Clean Energy Investment Presentations, where competitively selected entrepreneurs pitched their business plan to a panel of investors and financial industry experts.
The top three companies were presented awards at the close of the Symposium. In addition, each company received a cash prize of $1,500, sponsored by New Energy New York, to attend the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Industry Growth Forum, held in Denver, Colorado, this October. This year, judges were given a theoretical budget of $3 million and asked to "invest" in the different companies that were presenting. The companies that had the most money "invested" in their product or technology at the end of the day were named the winners.
