George McNamee is Chairman of First Albany Companies Inc., a specialty investment banking firm.  He is Chairman of Plug Power Inc., a leading fuel cell developer, Managing Partner of FA Tech Ventures and a director of iRobot Corporation.  He is a director of several private companies including Amici LLC, Autotask Corporation and MetaCarta Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Conservation Education Fund, a member of the Yale Development Board and is a Trustee of the Albany Academy for Girls.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
