Paul F. Mutolo

Cornell Fuel Cell Institute
Associate Director

Paul F. Mutolo joined the Cornell Fuel Cell Institute (CFCI) as Associate Director in June, 2005. Paul strengthened his fuel cell expertise while working at MTI MicroFuel Cells in Albany, NY. At MTI, he helped develop several levels of MobionTM direct methanol micro fuel cell technology, including various multi-cell architectures, multiple DMFC system configurations, and optimal MEA composition. He pursued an introduction to fuel cells through a postdoctoral research appointment at the University of California at Berkeley. Paul received his PhD in chemistry from UC Santa Barbara in 2000. As a Fulbright Fellow, he conducted one year of his doctoral research at the WWU in Münster, Germany. Paul received his A.B. in chemistry from Cornell in 1994. At the CFCI, in addition to fuel cell expertise, Paul contributes skill in communication, project management experience, a catching enthusiasm for scientific discovery, and a genuine concern for the environment.
