Michael McKay Manager, Technology Business Assistance Office & Team Leader, Ohio Fuel Cell Initiative Ohio Department of Development
Mike McKay is the Manager of the Technology Business Assistance Office in the Ohio Department of Development's Technology Division. His office administers a comprehensive set of programs that assist technology-based companies and entrepreneurs with research and development, commercialization, and investment capital designed to accelerate company growth and job creation throughout Ohio.
For the past six years, Mike has also served as the Team Leader of the Ohio Fuel Cell Initiative and has directed the state's efforts to support and expand the fuel cell industry in the State of Ohio. He provides overall programmatic guidance for the Ohio Fuel Cell Initiative, as well as assistance to Ohio's fuel cell industry and facilitates their participation in the Initiative.
He is also a reviewer for the National Science Foundation and the USDA, reviewing SBIR & STTR Phase II proposals for their commercial potential.
Mike is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has received training from the National Technology Transfer Center at Wheeling Jesuit University on Technology Assessment, Technology Commercialization, and Technology Licensing.
Mike has been with the Ohio Department of Development for ten years and with the State of Ohio for a total of 14 years.
