Thomas Blum Partner G.C. Andersen Partners
Mr. Blum has spent 28 years as an investment banker and an investor in private equity and venture capital opportunities. He has been a partner of the New York based merchant bank, G.C. Andersen Partners, since 2006 where he focuses on Clean Tech and Alternative Energy. He is an active angel investor, backing over twenty companies to date. Mr. Blum spent 14 years as an investment banker with Salomon Brothers Inc. and Bear Stearns & Co. where he was actively involved in mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, securitization, high-yield and investment grade debt and corporate advisory for banks, insurance and specialty finance companies. From 1989 to 1992, he was based in Tokyo and oversaw the Salomon Brothers' Japanese and Asian Financial Institutions activities. Mr. Blum serves on the Board of Directors of Landauer Metropolitan Inc., SkyFuel, Inc., m2m Imaging and Interactive Frontiers, Inc. He is also a member of the New York Angels and Treasurer of The Heart & Soul Charitable Fund. Mr. Blum received a BS in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from The Harvard Business School.
