George cofounded Versatilis LLC in Shelburne, VT in 2004 with Ajay Jain and currently serves as its President and CEO. Versatilis is a technology development company with a strong focus on intellectual property (IP) in advanced materials and processes for applications in displays, solar cells, solid state lighting, and other areas in both commercial and military markets. Versatilis has won numerous SBIRs, largely from DARPA, Office of Naval Research, Missile Defense Agency and Army Research Labs, and most recently from DOE for a project in the solar space.

In 2010, Versatilis acquired all the assets of Nanometrix, Inc (Montreal) including all the IP for a novel nanocoating technology, which it subsequently licensed to VersufleX Technologies LLC in South Burlington, VT. More recently, Versatilis is in the process of spinning out VerLASE as a new subsidiary focused on commercializing novel IP for the solid state lighting (SSL) markets.

George had previously led North American operations for Huber + Suhner AG (Switzerland), and been President of Cinch Connectors, BFI-Ibexsa International, and Diffracto Ltd. He started as an R&D engineer with Hewlett Packard, then rose up the ranks at Bendix through a variety of assignments into senior management. He has degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT and Stanford, respectively, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
