2012 Summer Internship Program
Meet the 2012 Interns
Thirty-eight undergraduate students spent the summer doing nanotechnology research at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the University at Albany – including 30 New York state residents who hail from the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Finger Lakes, Long Island, and New York City.
The pioneering hands-on program gave the students a unique opportunity to engage in innovative nanotechnology research projects as a means of supporting careers in nanoscience, nanoengineering, nanobioscience and the nanotechnology industry.
The largest class ever to participate in CNSE’s prestigious Summer Internship Program, the students represented a variety of academic backgrounds and came from higher education institutions that include a number of SUNY schools – Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Geneseo, Plattsburgh and Stony Brook – along with Boston University, Boston College, Cornell University, Clarkson University, Dartmouth College, Hamilton College, the University of Maryland, Siena College, and Vassar College, among others.
