CNSE Assistant Professor Laura Schultz named by Albany Business Review to annual ‘40 Under Forty’ list for emerging business leaders

The SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) is proud to announce that CNSE Assistant Professor of Dr. Laura SchultzNanoeconomics Dr. Laura Schultz has been named to the 2013 class of the Albany Business Review’s annual “40 Under Forty,” which recognizes her as one of the region’s emerging business leaders.

Her selection was based on her leadership in business research and entrepreneurship education, which continue to maximize the results of public-private investments in the Capital Region.

As part of her work at CNSE, Dr. Schultz has extensively focused her research on investment in innovation, with an eye toward capturing the regional economic growth generated by the unique collaboration between universities, industry and government. Her findings have helped to showcase the region’s growing high-tech economy, particularly through the pioneering public-private partnership model at CNSE.

Dr. Schultz was selected by a Business Review advisory board from more than 500 nominees. She will be honored at an awards luncheon scheduled for May 9 at the Hilton Albany.
