More than a dozen teenagers belonging to the Capital District YMCA's Black and Latino Achievers Program visited the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering on April 9, 2012 to get their first real glimpse into the world of nanotechnology and all the college has to offer.
The group learned how research at the Albany NanoTech Complex relates to the evolution of video games through a presentation given by CNSE Professor of Nanoscience, Vince LaBella. Students also had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, including dressing up in a bunny suit, and took a tour of the complex to better understand the tools used and processes involved in computer chip manufacturing, research and development.
