WATERVLIET - A new company and 10 new jobs will be coming to the Watervliet Arsenal with hopes for another 20 jobs beyond that.

The bottom line is that the Arsenal's business and technology partnership will be spending about $3 million in public funds to lure a company called Cleveland Polymer Technologies to move its operation from Elmira, N.Y. to the Arsenal, instead of moving back to Cleveland.

The big announcement was 33 minutes late in starting, with no explanation given. The president of Cleveland Polymer Technologies, a company that makes high-tech polymer castings for the automotive and medical industries says there is room to grow in Watervliet and access to cutting-edge nano-tech research at the University at Albany.
