Alain Kaloyeros spent a decade proving the viability of his vision—that building a nanotechnology research complex in Albany would fuel innovation, create jobs and turn the region into a tech hub.
The physics professor and chief executive officer of the research center has attracted investments from 250 corporations and created 2,500 high-paying positions. A total of $7.5 billion has been spent to build the complex, known as the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, at the University at Albany. Full article
