Times Union: Albany joins green giants of technology

ALBANY -- The Capital Region is emerging as a national leader in green technology and clean energy, with a cluster of companies and institutions employing a rapidly rising number of workers.

In fact, no metropolitan area in the country has a greater percentage of workers employed by the so-called green economy, according to a new report by The Brookings Institution, which found that 6.8 percent of Capital Region jobs are devoted to producing environmental.
